Corporate Profile

Overseas Chinese Town Hong Kong Limited (hereinafter referred to as “OCT HK”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary established by Overseas Chinese Town Enterprises Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “OCT Group”) in Hong Kong. The establishment was approved by the then Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of the People’s Republic of China in October 1997. OCT HK now has a representative office in Shenzhen. OCT HK is an integrated corporation engaged in both investment holding and industrial operation, whose businesses cover paper packaging and printing, tourism, real estate, import and export.

The paper packaging and printing business operating under the brand name of Huali under OCT HK has its first factory set up in Shenzhen, 1985. Since then, Shanghai Huali, Zhongshan Huali, Anhui Huali and Huizhou Huali were established respectively. A national strategic layout has gradually taken shape with a customer network covering developed regions including the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta. In recent years, by integrating many of its subsidiaries in the Huali family that deal with paper packaging and printing, OCT HK has established Huali Holdings (Group) Limited and had it publicly listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited on November 2, 2005 (Stock Code: 3366.HK). Thus a platform for attracting overseas capital was successfully set up for OCT Group. After the counseling period for newly-listed companies in 2007, OCT HK invested in Chengdu OCT, an important project of OCT Group outside its base. To reflect the strategic change to the corporation’s business development, 3366.HK officially took its new name—Overseas Chinese Town (Asia) Holdings Limited after approved by the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and the extraordinary general meeting.

As OCT Group’s important and sole platform for attracting overseas capital, OCT HK will continue to maintain and carry forward the Group’s fine tradition, improve its own governance structure, operate in compliance with the laws and regulations of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and explore further the ways of financing. While strengthening and expanding the packaging and printing business, OCT HK will operate in line with the Group's main operations and strategic development of major projects outside the Group's base, and meanwhile expand its main businesses, build core competitiveness in an all-round way so as to quickly promote the value of the corporation and its shareholders.
